How to reach us

Liguria can be reached easily by car on the highway system or the state and provincial roads. The former, managed by the Autostrade per l'Italia company, are toll roads, and they connect the four Ligurian provinces to the main Italian cities. The others, free of charge, connect all the cities and towns of the Riviera and surrounding area.
www.orariotrasporti.regione.liguria.it: schedules, routes, connections and travel times for trains, buses and metro for the whole region. The search motor offers many consultation methods: you can select the preferred means of transport, excluding others, or view a detailed description of the route, choose a direct route without any connections or with intermediate stops, or change from one transport method to another.

Weather
The entire arch of the Ligurian coast is a stretch of sand and pebble beaches alternating with cliffs overhanging the sea, enclosing small coves. The Alps and Apennines stand behind the coast with their great mountain environments.
Liguria's climate is pleasant and mild year round. Thanks to the influence of the sea, the average temperatures are 10 C° in winter and 24 C° in summer.

Tigullio
From Sestri Levante to Santa Margherita Ligure, the coastline of Tigullio is a charming sequence of seaside resorts with an important tradition in tourism.

This area offers vast beaches providing full services and equipment to visitors, spacious, full-service harbors, cutting-edge sports facilities, and top-of-the-line, elegant accommodations: in Tigullio all these melts with beautiful seascapes, bustling towns, and fascinating sea floors, lapped by favorable currents.

Sailing, surfing, horseback riding and golfing enthusiasts will find an ideal setting in which to practice their sports, both in the area's natural environment and its sports facilities. The coastline also teams with trendy clubs, shops and high quality handcrafts stores, thus making for enjoyable shopping and nightlife experiences.

Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre are precisely five enchanting medieval villages clutching on to a breathtaking coastline, down slopes that lead rapidly to the shore. A marvellous sight. Over the centuries, Man has shaped the landscape, eking out just enough space from the ungenerous terrain to create precious land for cultivation. Thus were born the terraces descending towards the sea, with vine or olive cultivations. Beneath the cultivations, clutching on to the rock and the sea, rise five villages, intact, in a characteristic maze of colourful houses. Unesco has nominated the Cinque Terre a World Heritage Site, and the Italian State has created the National Park of the Cinque Terre to ensure their preservation.

Golfo dei Poeti
The Gulf of Poets is snuggled between two promontories between which lies the city of La Spezia. All around an amphitheatre of hills and mountains forms a scenic backdrop. The high, jagged coastline hugs peaceful bays in protection against the wind, where enchanting little ancient towns take their stand. The beauty of these places has been celebrated by poets, writers and artists, who have long been attracted to this coast and the savage sweetness of its landscape and climate.
