Seven days on boat: between the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast

The Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast are two of the most appreciated destinations by Italian and international tourists. Historic seaside villages, caves and breathtaking views define this truly unique stretch of coastline. From Naples to Naples, a seven-day itinerary on board to discover the beauty of these places.

 

Naples

On the first day you can either visit Naples or start exploring the coast.
The city’s architecture is extremely unique and the view from the sea is special. On the land you can visit the historic city center, lively and picturesque, and discover the specialties of Naples’ cuisine.

Naples – Capri (17mn)
Departure is set on the next morning towards Capri, one of the most beautiful corners of southern Italy, with its bays and caves overlooking the sea. Obviously you can not miss a visit to the famous cliffs and a tour in the popular Grotta Azzurra.  
Capri – Amalfi (23mn)
Once left Capri it’s time to sail towards the Amalfi Coast. Amalfi is fullof culturally valued historic palaces such asthe Duomo, an enchanting cathedral that is also the city’s symbol.

Amalfi – Vietri sul Mare (9mn)
Next up is Vietri sul Mare, the southernmost city of this itinerary. This place is known for its handmade ceramics, that decorate every building.
Vietri sul Mare – Conca dei Marini – Positano (15mn)
Visiting the Amalfi Coast from East to West with a stop in Conca dei Marini, it is a must to visit the Grotta dello Smeraldo, exclusively accessible by sea. On the way to Positano a stop in Furore is recommended, where you can admire the bridge, famous for diving competitions, and the fjord that runs along the cliffs. The final stop of the day is Positano, the best known town on this part of the coast, characterised by a truly spectacular crystal-clear water.

Positano – Sorrento (17mn)
Going back towards Naples with a stay in Sorrento. The boat offers an advantaged view point to see the inlets and caves that constitute this extraordinary coast.
Sorrento – Pompei (20mn)
The last day is dedicated tothe discovery of Pompei’ and Vesuvius’ history – from Sorrento to the ruins of a city that is frozen in time. Not to miss is a visit to the city’s archeological park. On the way back to Naples, starboard-side, the imposing silhouette of Vesuvius will be following us during the navigation.
