The Worldwide Yachting Association which has adopted an increasingly influential and significant role in this industry, works closely with Government Organisations, Coastguards, the International Maritime Organisation, Licensed Marine Underwriters, Insurance Companies and Lawyers.&nbsp; Both the MYBA Charter Agreement and the MYBA Memorandum of Agreement have been developed over the years and provide an industry standard throughout the world.<\/p>\n<p>Membership is available to eligible companies and individuals with a proven track record of professional excellence in the yachting industry.&nbsp; Member companies are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance and meet the strict requirements as outlined in the Statutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By working with a MYBA Company, yacht owners and charterers can benefit from the safeguards<\/strong>&nbsp;that have been established and be assured they are represented by experienced professionals.&nbsp; Owners and&nbsp;<strong>Charterers should always check they are working with a MYBA Company to ensure they have adequate protection.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>MYBA OBJECTIVES<\/h5>\n<p>MYBA is a worldwide professional trade association dedicated to large crewed yacht commerce.&nbsp;<br>The Association\u2019s objectives are:- To establish and maintain a high standard of professional ethics, professional rules and skills in charter, sales, and yacht management.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To establish, print and distribute recommended contractual documents specific to the profession and to encourage its&nbsp;Members to promote them among professionals.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage inter-professional exchanges and contacts on all matters of common interest, including lobbying.<\/li>\n<li>To provide a framework with a view to the resolution of commercial conflicts between Members or between Members and their contracted parties with a view to suggesting solutions with professional common practice and with current regulations through mediation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h5>WHAT WE THINK<\/h5>\n<div>\n<p>In the yachting industry we are attending the development of new companies which have little experience and no real training in yacht charter and brokerage. So, non-MYBA Members may not be as familiar with the yachts proposed.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Moreover, there are many yacht associations around the world, but MYBA is the most recognized and the hardest to get into.
